Balasore, Feb 8: As many as 20 people were injured, eight of them critically, as a tourist bus in whic they were travelling rammed into a hyva near Nidhipanda Chhack in Balasore district this morning.

According to reports, when the mishap occurred, the bus was travelling from Puri to West Bengal's Bankura.

There were 60 passengers boarding the bus.

The injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

"There was heavy fog and the driver was drowsing that is why the accident occurred", said a tourist.

"We have arranged a special Bolero and a Bus for the injured passengers to travel back to their hometown", said authorities.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and started further investigation into the matter.
