Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: A 11 month-old infant was rescued today near Patia station under the Mancheswar police station limits in the capital city after being kidnapped yesterday. 

According to sources, the infant was abducted on Tuesday afternoon owing to family disputes. When the baby and its mother were alone, miscreants took away the infant in a car. 

Police have caught the kidnappers this morning. The child is in a healthy condition, said sources. 

The CCTV footages were monitored to nab the abductors and rescue the child, informed police.  

Further details into the matter is awaited and investigation is underway. 

Whether family members have themselves carried out the abduction or involved outsiders is also unclear.
