Keonjhar, Feb 14: In a tragic mishap, a person died and three others sustained critical injuries as two motorbikes collided head-on on National Highway 220 at Dhanabeniunder Patna police station limits in Keonjhar district today.

The deceased was identified as Sairam Mahanta of the nearby Rasapada village.

According to the information, Sairam Mahanta was returning home from Patna on his bike when another bike coming from the opposite side hit it. The intensity of the accident was high because two bikes were running at high speed.

In the accident, four persons were injured severely. While being taken to a hospital, Sairam Mahant succumbed on the way. The three others are undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital, Keonjhar.

Patna police have started an investigation into the incident.
