Baripada, Nov 5: In a tragic incident, one person died and another sustained critical injuries after a  Tata Power Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) bolero vehicle allegedly hit a motorcycle near Nua gaon school square under Kuliana police station limits here on Sunday. 

The identity of the duo is yet to be ascertained. Both are said to be the residents of Tikalak chuin village. 
According to the information, the bolero of TPNODL while returing after completing an electric work in the village, hit the motorcycle from behind. As a result, the duo who were riding the motorcyle fell on the ground and sustained critical injuries. 

Soon, the onlookers rushed the duo to Kuliana Community Health Centre (CHC), where one of them was declared brought dead by the doctors and other youth is undergoing treatment. 

After the accident, tension brokeout on the spot and the locals wrecked the vehicle. Besides, they demanded compension of the victim's kin.

On being informed, the police reached the spot, pacified the locals and initiated a probe into the matter.
