Bhadrak, June 19: Following the footsteps of Jajpur, the Bhadrak district administration has announced an extension of holidays for all schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centres by two more days due to the growing spread of diarrhoea in the region.


The decision, taken by Bhadrak Collector Dillip Rautray, comes in response to escalating health concerns among students and children. According to official sources, institutions were initially set to reopen on June 20 after the summer break.


However, with a spike in diarrhoeal cases and public health risks, the closure has been extended to June 21. With June 22 (Saturday) and June 23 (Sunday) being weekend holidays, educational institutions may resume operations on June 24, depending on further assessment by local authorities.
