Odisha Parba 2026 Day 2: Cultural Performances Shine

New Delhi, Mar 14: The second day of Odisha Parba 2026, witnesssed captivating cultural performances. The Parba of Odisha featured a vibrant lineup of performances celebrating the rich artistic traditions of Odisha. The programme began with “Dharma Chakra-Ashoka,” a captivating Odissi Dance presentation by Kabita Mohanty and her troupe, portraying themes of history, spirituality and Odisha’s classical heritage.

This was followed by “Bighnabinashak Leela,” a traditional Indian folk dance performance invoking Lord Ganesha, symbolising an auspicious beginning and the removal of obstacles. The energetic presentation set a devotional and festive tone for the evening.

Adding to the cultural richness was “Dhwani-Swarara Odisha,” an instrumental musical composition that beautifully showcased the diverse musical traditions of Odisha through rhythmic and melodic expressions. The evening concluded on a high note with “Sur Sangam,” a lively live musical performance by popular singers Satyajeet Pradhan and Lipsa Mohapatra. Their soulful renditions enthralled the audience, bringing together classical, folk and contemporary musical elements and creating a memorable musical experience for attendees.

The second day witnessed the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who graced the event and interacted with members of the Odia community at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.Union Minister Annapurna Devi also attended the event.


Addressing the gathering, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “Odisha Parba being celebrated with such grandeur in Delhi reflects how deeply the Odia community remains connected to its roots and cultural traditions. For nearly a decade, this festival has brought together Odia families in the capital and filled Delhi with the vibrancy of Odisha’s heritage.”

“Delhi, often called a ‘Mini India’, warmly embraces people from every state, and the Odia community has enriched the city’s cultural fabric. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to everyone celebrating this wonderful festival,” she added.
