Bhubaneswar, Dec 18: Food delivery companies have provided us the luxury of enjoying our favorite meal at home, but incidents of finding insects and dead animals in restaurant-ordered food are becoming increasingly common.

In a bizarre incident, a Bengaluru woman went through the same ordeal after she found a cockroach in the chicken fried rice ordered from a restaurant through the online food delivery app Zomato.

Expressing her disgust, she took to social media, shared a video of the incident and urged for an ‘immediate resolution’ from Zomato. As per her post, she had ordered the dish from Koramangala 5th Block’s Tapri By The Corner restaurant. Soon after her post went viral, the company acknowledged the issue.

After the Bengaluru woman shared the post, Zomato quickly requested her to send her contact information and order ID through private message, so that the company can resolve the issue.

Prior to this recent incident, another Bengaluru resident had a similar unsettling experience. This previous case involved an individual who took to Reddit to share their disappointment after discovering a dead cockroach in their meal ordered from the restaurant Zamindar.
