Mumbai, Apr 27: The Indian film industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor Bharat Kapoor, who passed away at the age of 80 in Mumbai’s Sion Hospital. The actor, who had been unwell for the past three days, succumbed to multiple organ failure on Monday afternoon at around 3:30 pm. His funeral was held the same evening at 6:30 pm in the presence of family members and close friends.
Kapoor’s close friend and fellow actor Avtar Gill confirmed the news, expressing deep sorrow over the passing of a cherished colleague. Gill shared that Kapoor had been struggling with health issues in recent days, and despite medical efforts, his condition deteriorated rapidly. A prayer meeting is scheduled for April 30 to honor his memory.
