Kolkata, May 9: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday expressed confidence that Suvendu Adhikari would lead West Bengal towards development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following the BJP’s historic victory in the Assembly elections.
Speaking on the formation of the new government in Bengal, Pradhan said, “Since the partition of Bengal in 1905, this day marks a tectonic shift in the political history of West Bengal. He further said that Bengal has historically enriched India through its thinkers, reformers, writers, artists and nationalist visionaries, and described the swearing-in of Suvendu Adhikari as Chief Minister as the beginning of “a new chapter of governance in Bengal”.
