Bhubaneswar, Dec 23: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary, which is marked as Kisan Diwas or National Farmers' Day.
The Union Minister also extended greetings of Farmers' Day to all the farmers of the country.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Pradhan said, " Humble tribute to the 'messiah' of farmers, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary and greetings to all the farmers on the Farmer's Day."
"To make farmers self-reliant, many future-oriented changes are being made in every sector from seed to market. The dream of prosperity of farmers that Chaudhary Saheb had seen, is being fulfilled by today's new India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he added.
