New Delhi, Sep 19: Union Education Minister Dharmendra
Pradhan on Friday congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)
for its sweeping victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU)
elections, calling it a reflection of youth’s trust in nationalist values and
the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
Minister’s Message
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Pradhan wrote: “Heartfelt
congratulations to all hardworking ABVP workers for the resounding victory in
the Delhi University Students’ Union elections. This win symbolizes the youth’s
trust in an ideology that places national interest above all and is inspired by
the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. I am confident that ABVP workers will continue
to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, service, and leadership among students
with the same dedication and energy.”

A Resounding Win
ABVP, the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), clinched three out of four key posts in the high-stakes DUSU polls held on Thursday. Aryan Maan won the President’s post, while Kunal Chaudhary and Deepika Jha secured the Secretary and Joint Secretary positions respectively. The Congress-backed NSUI managed to win only the Vice President post, with Rahul Jhansla emerging victorious.

The 2025 DUSU elections saw over 1.55 lakh students casting their votes across 52 centers.
