New Delhi, Sept 10: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan embarked on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 10–11, officials said.
In a post on X, Minister Pradhan stated his intent to meet key UAE leaders, policymakers, academics, investors, and members of the Indian diaspora to deepen cooperation in education, innovation, and research.

Strengthening Bilateral Educational Cooperation
During his visit, Pradhan will engage in high-level meetings with UAE officials including Sara Musallam, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). He will also inaugurate the Atal Incubation Centre at IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus and launch new PhD and B.Tech programs, marking a significant milestone in India’s global academic outreach.

✨Expanding India’s Educational Footprint
On September 11, Pradhan will join UAE’s Minister of Higher Education, Abdul Rahman Al Awwar, to inaugurate the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad’s Dubai campus. This initiative aims to deliver world-class management education and foster cross-border knowledge exchange.

Community Engagement and Cultural Diplomacy
Beyond institutional visits, Pradhan will participate in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (Plant a Tree in the Name of Mother) initiative at the Indian Consulate and interact with CBSE school principals. He will also attend the first anniversary celebration of Symbiosis University’s Dubai campus and visit the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi.
