The Buildathon aims to engage 12 crore students from six lakh schools across India, encouraging them to ideate, design, and build prototypes aligned with themes such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharat. Registration for students begins today and will remain open until 6th October 2025.

Pradhan emphasized the importance of innovation in nation-building, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently prioritized innovation over the past eleven years.

The Minister highlighted the success of the Atal Innovation Mission, which has established over 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs across the country to foster scientific thinking and problem-solving among school students.

Building a Self-Reliant Future

The Buildathon is designed to be more than a competition—it’s a movement to instill a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the next generation. By encouraging students to tackle real-world challenges through indigenous solutions, the initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a global innovation hub.
