Gujarat, Dec 15: In a rare twist of fate, a thief who stole a bike from Gujarat's Surat returned it to its owner after seeing his Social Media post. 

Paresh Patel, a diamond worker from Surat, found himself in despair when his cherished motorcycle was snatched away from Mota Varachha.

Next day, Patel uploaded the CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook, referring to the thief as a “gentleman” and asking him to collect the key and the RC book of the bike from the parking lot. He further asked the thief not to worry about him as he would “be able to survive by travelling on a cycle”.

The post resonated widely across Surat, spreading like wildfire on social media. Little did Patel know that his plea would reach the ears of the very person who had taken his motorcycle. 

Miraculously, the thief had a change of heart, rather than seizing the opportunity to escape with the bike and its documents, the repentant thief returned the motorcycle to the exact spot where it had been stolen just a few days prior. 

Paresh further said that he was happy that the thief decided to return the bike after seeing his post on social media.
