With a militant career spanning over 44 years in the Maoist organization, Ruben was involved in numerous deadly attacks targeting security forces across central India.
Ruben was a key figure in the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee and formerly headed the South Bastar Division Committee. He is believed to have orchestrated several high-profile attacks, including the 1988 Gollapalli Maraiguda ambush that killed 20 CRPF personnel, the Yatiguta attack the same year, resulting in the deaths of 8 police officers, the 1990 assault on the Taralaguda police station.

✨In 1991, Ruben was arrested by Chhattisgarh Police but managed to escape from custody, an incident that later became known as the "Jagdalpur Jail Break."
