Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Puri Wednesday for the Navy Day celebrations at the Blue Flag Beach.

The President is scheduled to visit Shree Jagannath Temple in a special carcade to have darshan of the holy trinity -- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra -- and perform puja.

As per the official itinerary, President Murmu will visit Gopabandhu Ayurved College to attend the 75th Hirak Jayanti as the chief guest.

At 12 pm, she will head to Raj Bhavan, where she will have lunch and take rest. Later, President Murmu will head to Blue Flag Beach for the Navy Day celebrations, which is scheduled to start at 4.08 pm.

President Murmu is scheduled to leave for Raj Bhavan at 5.45 pm. She will have dinner and stay the night at Raj Bhavan.

Keeping an eye on President's visit, 95 platoons of police have been deployed in Puri and a notifaction has been issued over traffic restrictions for general public.

She will return to Bhubaneswar from Puri on Thursday morning and attend the 40th convocation of Odisha University of Agricultural and Technology (OUAT) around 11 am.

Thereafter, President  will inaugurate the Bhubaneswar-based Judicial Court Complex around 5 pm and return to Raj Bhavan around 6.30 pm.

On December 6, Murmu will interact with residents of Uparbeda village, her birthplace. On the same day, she will interact with students and teachers at the Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Rairangpur.

On December 7, the President will lay the foundation of Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh railway lines, a tribal research and development centre, Dandbose airport and a sub-divisional hospital in Rairangpur, the statement said.
