Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha Tuesday for a five-day visit. She is scheduled to attend the Navy Day celebrations and operational demonstrations at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri besides attending other programmes, an official statement said Monday.

President Murmu will reportedly unveil a statue of Santali writer and educator Pandit Raghunath Murmu and visit the Adim Owar Jarpa Jaher in Bhubaneswar Tuesday.

The President of India will have darshan and perform puja at the Shree Jagannath temple in Puri, Wednesday (December 4). She is then scheduled to attend the 75th anniversary celebrations of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri before attending the Navy Day celebrations and operational demonstrations at the Blue Flag Beach the same day.

The statement also says that President Murmu will attend the 40th convocation ceremony of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology in Bhubaneswar, Thursday (Dec 5). She is also scheduled to inaugurate a judicial complex in the capital city.

On December 6 (Friday), President Murmu will interact with students and residents at Uparbeda village -- her birth place.  Later  on the  day, she will interact with students and teachers at the Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Rairangpur.

The President will lay foundation stone on the last day of her visit -- Saturday, Dec 7 -- for various projects including Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh Rail Lines, the Tribal Research and Development Centre in Rairangpur, Dandbose Airport in Rairangpur, and the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Rairangpur.
