Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 21: President Droupadi Murmu arrived
in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening, commencing her four-day official
visit to Kerala. She was warmly received at the Thiruvananthapuram
International Airport by Kerala Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar, Chief
Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and other senior dignitaries.

The President’s visit includes a series of significant
engagements across the state. On Wednesday, she is scheduled to visit the
revered Sabarimala temple for darshan, marking a spiritual highlight of her
itinerary. The temple, nestled in the Western Ghats, is one of the most
prominent pilgrimage sites in South India.

On Thursday, President Murmu will unveil a statue of former
President K. R. Narayanan at the Kerala Raj Bhavan. The event is expected to be
attended by top state officials and dignitaries, honoring Narayanan’s legacy as
a distinguished statesman and the first Dalit President of India.
Security arrangements have been tightened across key
locations, and the state government has coordinated closely with the
President’s office to ensure a smooth itinerary.
