New Delhi, Jan 1: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister conveyed their greetings to the nation on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

President Droupadi Murmu, in her message, wrote: “On this joyous occasion of the New Year, I extend heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in the country and abroad.” She emphasised that the New Year symbolises fresh energy and positive change, serving as a moment for reflection and renewed resolve. She added that in 2026, the nation must strengthen its commitment to development, social equality, and environmental protection.

The President further wished that the year 2026 bring peace, happiness, and prosperity into people’s lives, and empower the collective resolve to build a strong and vibrant India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings, writing: “Best wishes to everyone for 2026. May the New Year bring new hopes, new resolutions, and renewed confidence for all. May it inspire everyone to move forward in life.
