Pradhan Facilitates Key Agreement To Upskill & Assist In Overseas Employment For Indian Youths

Dubai, Nov 3: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan's three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates concluded on Friday on a high note, with a focus on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DP World and the broader importance of skill development in strengthening the India-UAE relationship.
Minister Pradhan and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman & CEO of DP World in Dubai, today witnessed the signing of MoU between National Skill Development Corporation International and We One, a subsidiary of DP World for long term recruitment of skilled manpower.
Speaking on the occasion Pradhan said that the agreement will create more avenues for global talent mobility, skilling and connecting Indian youth to relevant overseas employment opportunities. India is a reservoir of wide-range of talent, he added.
The Minister reaffirmed commitment to fulfil aspirations of India’s youth and prepare them to drive economic prosperity, not only for India but also for global economies.

Pradhan also had a fruitful meeting with teams of VFS Global and Transworld today. He commended the insightful conversations on working together to connect India’s youth with overseas opportunities, strengthening the training infrastructure in India as well as collaborations for building capacities in skill development.

The UAE, hosting the largest population of Indian nationals outside of India, with approximately 3.5 million Indians constituting around 35% of the country's total population, underscores the importance of skill development as a fundamental element of the India-UAE Strategic Partnership.
