Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday expressed his joy soon after all workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand were rescued.

Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also hailed the successful operation to rescue 41 workers trapped in the tunnel for almost 17 days.

"Joy and a sense of relief to learn about the rescue of all the workers  trapped in Uttarkashi.  The courage and resilience of our Shramiks in the face of adversity is commendable. Appreciate everyone who worked tirelessly to make this difficult rescue operation successful," Minister Dharmendra Pradhan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

All 41 trapped workers were evacuated successfully from the Silkyara tunnel this evening after tireless efforts were being carried out by scientists, international experts, NDRF, SDRF, BRO on a war footing for 16 days.

On November 12, an under-construction tunnel collapsed in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi leaving 41 workers trapped.
