New Delhi, Feb 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Mondayinaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking the formal opening of the India AI Impact Summit, officials said.


The five-day event, running until February 20, is envisioned as a national showcase of artificial intelligence in action, bringing together global technology leaders, policymakers, startups, and research institutions.


The Expo features over 300 curated exhibition pavilions, 600 startups, and 13 country pavilions, highlighting international collaboration in the AI ecosystem. Structured across three thematic areas - People, Planet, and Progress - the event aims to demonstrate how AI can drive innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.


In his address, PM Modi said it was a matter of immense pride that people from across the world were converging in India for the Summit. He extended a warm welcome to world leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts. The Prime Minister emphasized that India’s AI journey is closely aligned with the vision of “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” - for the welfare and happiness of all.

The Expo is expected to foster new business opportunities, showcase cutting-edge AI applications, and provide a comprehensive overview of the global AI landscape. Demonstrations include AI-driven solutions for healthcare, agriculture, education, smart governance, and climate resilience.
