Parliament Scuffle: Injured BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi & Mukesh Rajput Discharged From RML Hospital

New Delhi, Dec 23: BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, who were injured in a scuffle at the Parliament building on December 19, were discharged from the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Monday, authorities said.
Pratap Sarangi (69) from Odisha's Balasore and Mukesh Rajput (56) from Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad suffered head injuries in the face-off and were rushed to RML Hospital on December 19 for treatment.
The two Lok Sabha MPs were kept under observation in the ICU and were shifted to a ward on December 21.
"The condition of both the MPs is much better now, and they have been discharged," a senior doctor said.
A face-off between the opposition and NDA MPs in Parliament premises over the alleged insult to BR Ambedkar left Sarangi and Rajput injured.
Talking to the media, Sarangi had alleged that Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, who fell on him after which he got injured.

Joshi, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and B L Verma visited the hospital and took stock of
the health condition of Both MPs.
BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad, Aparajita Sarangi, Arun Singh, Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and TDP MP Appalanaidu Kalisetti also met the MPs at the hospital.
Delhi Police filed an FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the case under sections 117 (voluntary causing grievous hurt), 115 (voluntary causing hurt), 125 (act of endangering life or personal safety of others), 131 (use of criminal force), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS.
