Odisha Cabinet Nod: 'Subhadra' Application Date Extended Till March 31

Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: The State Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Mohan Chran Majhi approved nine important proposals today.


An important proposal relating to the State government's flagship Subhadra Yojana was approved. Any left-out eligible applicant can get money if she applies by March 31. Such applicants will get the two installments, amounting to Rs 10,000 at one time.


Another important proposal passed by the Cabinet resolved to pay monthly assistance of to persons with 80 percent disabilities. Similarly, elderly people aged above 80 years will get a monthly pension of Rs 3,500. Until now, such persons were getting a monthly pension of Rs 1,200 only.

The other proposals approved by the Cabinet include: Rs 750 crore approved for Mukyamantri Krushi Udyogi Yojana. Rs 750 crore will be disbursed as loans to farmers in five years. The State government will provide a subsidy of Rs 25,000 for the installation of solar energy projects. This amount will be given to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana.


While the Union government gives Rs 30,000 to each beneficiary for the installation of solar panels for generation of 1 kw, the State government will provide a subsidy of Rs 25,000 for 2-kw solar project. The State government will provide an additional subsidy of Rs 10,000 if a beneficiary installs panels to produce 3 kw of solar energy.
