The National Testing Agency (NTA), after reviewing inputs with central agencies and law enforcement, has cancelled the NEET (UG) 2026 exam conducted on May 3. To ensure transparency, the exam will be re-conducted on dates announced separately.

Jail Sentence For Accused
In a significant judgment, the Mayurbhanj Fast-Track Court has sentenced two accused to five years of imprisonment along with a fine of ₹5 lakh each in connection with a 2021 case involving immoral relations with a minor and the circulation of her obscene photos and videos. The court, ruled that failure to pay the fine would result in an additional two years of imprisonment.
