Arafi Named Interim Leader
Senior cleric Ayatollah Alireza Arafi has been appointed interim Supreme Leader after Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint US-Israeli strike on Tehran, ISNA reported. Arafi will serve as jurist member of the interim leadership council until a successor is chosen under constitutional procedures.

Ahmad Vahidi Takes Charge
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps named Ahmad Vahidi as its new Commander-in-Chief. The former Defence and Interior Minister had served as interim chief for six months. His appointment follows the killing of predecessor Mohammad Pakpour in the recent US-Israel military operation.

Karachi Consulate Clashes
At least 12 protesters were reportedly killed and over 30 were injured after US Marine security personnel opened fire during clashes outside the US Consulate in Karachi. Demonstrators were protesting US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Pakistani authorities and US officials have not independently confirmed casualties.

Youth Stabbed in Bhubaneswar
Youtuber Rahul Maharana was allegedly stabbed to death at a school playground in Rasulgarh under Mancheswar police limits. Police said three to four youths, reportedly intoxicated, attacked him around 10 pm Saturday. He was rushed to Capital Hospital but was declared dead during treatment.
