PM Modi in Namibia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, marking his first official visit to the southern African nation. The visit underscores India’s commitment to deepening its longstanding and friendly ties with Namibia.

Cabinet Expansion Soon

The Odisha Govt is expected to undergo a cabinet expansion in the coming days, as confirmed by BJP state president Manmohan Samal. Samal said that discussions with the central leadership have concluded, and several decisions have already been taken regarding the expansion.

Jagannath Pradhan Gets Bail

Senior BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan has been granted bail by the Khordha District and Sessions Judge Court in connection with the alleged assault on BMC Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo. The bail was approved on a surety of ₹30,000, submitted by a guarantor.

IPS Reshuffle in Odisha

The Odisha government effected a minor reshuffle among senior IPS officers. Sanjeeb Panda has been posted as the ADG, Anti-Naxal Operations. Akhileshvar Singh will serve as DIG of Police, Special Intelligence Wing, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh has been posted as DIG of Police, Southern Western Range, Koraput.

Bridge Collapsed in Gujarat

The 43-year-old bridge over the Mahisagar River in Gujarat's Vadodara district collapsed early in the morning, killing at least nine people and injuring several others. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives, PM Narendra Modi announced ex gratia compensation to the families of the victims.

The Indian Navy has received its first indigenously-designed and built Diving Support Vessel (DSV) — INS Nistar — from Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) at Visakhapatnam. Crafted with nearly 75% indigenous content, INS Nistar is a shining example of Aatmanirbhar Bharat in the maritime domain.

An Indian Air Force fighter jet 'Jaguar' crashed in Rajasthan's Churu district, reportedly claiming two lives. A massive crater has formed at the crash site, and aircraft debris is scattered across the area.
