PM Modi meets Global leaders
Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds bilateral meetings with several world leaders on sidelines of India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. PM Modi met Spanish President Pedro Sanchez at Hyderabad House. The leaders discussed ways to deepen India-Spain ties, focusing on trade, technology, and cultural cooperation.

India-Finland Relations
PM Modi also held talks with Finnish Prime Minister Antti Petteri Orpo. Discussions centred on sustainability, digitalization, AI research, and ethical innovation. The Prime Minister praised Finland’s growing role in AI innovation and highlighted how Indian talent could strengthen bilateral collaboration.

Talks with Serbia & Croatia Leaders
On the sidelines of the Summit, PM Modi met Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. Talks covered trade, investment, fintech, education, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, underscoring India’s expanding partnerships in Europe.

Rajya Sabha Polls
The Election Commission announced elections for 37 seats of the Rajya Sabha in 10 states. The notification for the polls will be issued on February 26 and nominations to be filed till March 5. Polling will be held on March 16. Odisha will see contests for four seats.

Rath Yatra Preparation
Odisha has drawn up a detailed master plan for the upcoming Rath Yatra in Puri, focusing on crowd safety and smooth conduct. Measures include CCTV surveillance, an integrated command centre, parking facilities, healthcare, sanitation, and special arrangements for chariot rituals.

Plus II Exams Begin
The annual Plus II examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) of Odisha began today. The exams will continue until March 25, 2026. More than four lakh students are appearing for the exams at 1,357 centres across the state.

SC Panel Directs Govt
The Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety has taken serious note of the recent tragic road accident in Ganjam district that claimed the lives of five people. The committee has directed Odisha government to submit a comprehensive investigation report by March 5.
