Odisha’s new excise policy mandates liquor up to 180 ml be sold in six-layered tetra packs instead of glass bottles. Only IIP or CFTRI-certified units can manufacture them. The move aims to cut pollution and also revises licensing norms in tourist areas.

Ama Bus Hits Officer

Additional DCP Krushna Chandra Sethi was critically injured after an Ama bus hit him near Bhubaneswar Club while he was cycling. Eyewitnesses said the bus was speeding and failed to maintain a safe distance. He was rushed to hospital with severe injuries.
