According to reports, the incident took place five kilometers from Bhairamgarh on National Highway 63, where Maoists torched a goods truck carrying onions. During the violence, they blocked hundreds of vehicles on both sides of the road for nearly 30 minutes.
Among the halted vehicles was a passenger bus traveling from Jagdalpur to Bijapur, which was seized by the Maoists. The bus passengers and driver were held hostage and interrogated before being released unharmed.
