Lucknow, Sep 14: An IndiGo flight bound for Delhi was forced to abort takeoff due to a mechanical fault detected just moments before departure at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow this morning.
The aircraft, IndiGo flight 6E-2111, was carrying 151 passengers, including Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav, when the pilot noticed a technical issue with the engine while the plane was on the runway.
Acting swiftly, the pilot alerted Air Traffic Control and applied emergency brakes, bringing the aircraft to a complete halt and preventing a possible catastrophe.
Passengers onboard reported panic and confusion as the plane came to a sudden stop.
Crew members quickly reassured travellers and explained the situation. The aircraft was then taxied back for inspection, and all passengers were safely transferred to an alternative flight to Delhi.
