Junior Teachers' Salary Increased To Rs 20,000 Per Month

Bhubaneswar, Mar 13: The State Government has decided to increase the monthly remuneration of Junior Teachers, engaged in primary and upper primary schools, from Rs 13,800 to Rs 20,000 on completion of three years in the job.
The increase will be retrospectively implemented from January 1, 2023. A total of 12,784 junior teachers will benefit from the decision. For this, the State exchequer will have an extra annual burden of Rs 95 crore, according to a release from the Chief Minister's Office.
The State Government had earlier in the day announced an increase in the monthly remuneration of ULP representatives like the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Corporators of municipal corporations and Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons of municipality and NACs
