Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi, June 10: Senior BJP leader and five-time Lok Sabha MP from Sundargarh in Odisha, Jual Oram has yet again been allocated the key portfolio of Tribal Affairs Ministry in the Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet today.
The 63-year-old Tribal leader returns to the Ministry after a gap of five years having been replaced by Arjun Munda during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term (2019-24).
Oram holds the distinction of being the country’s first tribal affairs minister, following the establishment of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in 1999 under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
