New Delhi, Sept 4: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday met Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in New Delhi and held a meaningful conversation for expanding bilateral engagements in the field of education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship between the two great countries.
In a post on X, Pradhan said, " We held meaningful conversations for expanding our bilateral engagements in school education, higher education, vocational education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship. We also agreed to work together for building capacity of teachers, boosting research prowess and capacity, strengthening skilling ecosystem and facilitating more student exchanges across HEIs of both our countries with a view to provide global perspectives and enriching environment to students."

During the meeting, both the leaders discussed enhancing bilateral engagements across school education, higher education, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. A key focus was on building teacher capacity, strengthening research ecosystems, and facilitating student exchanges between higher education institutions (HEIs) of both countries.
Pradhan emphasized the importance of global perspectives in education and praised PM Wong’s consistent efforts to elevate India-Singapore collaboration.
The discussions align with the broader roadmap for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) between India and Singapore, which includes cooperation in skills development, digitalization, and frontier research.
