From newlywed couples to elderly, families have been torn apart, mourning the loss of their loved ones. Amid the chaos, cries for help echoed through the valley, while others desperately pleaded for the return of their mothers and family members. The incident, which targeted tourists in the Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, saw the death of at least 28 people. Among the dead includes Prashant Satpathy from Odisha's Balasore district.

A heart-wrenching incident has come to fore where a woman, who had married only in April, was seen crying for help. Her heartbreaking plea, "Please save my husband," captured the unimaginable pain and loss experienced during the attack.
Following the attack, anguished Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi after concluding his visit to Saudi Arabia and held an urgent meeting. While Union Home Minister Amit Shah rushed to the spot and met the families of the victims outside the Police Control Room in Srinagar.
Family members whose faces were etched with profound sorrow were seen pleading with the Home Minister, as they quivered with grief, expressing the depth of their pain following the tragic loss of their loved ones in the attack.

On the other hand, the recent attack indeed draws chilling parallels to the 2019 Pulwama tragedy, which occurred on February 14, 2019, involved a suicide bomber targeting a CRPF convoy, resulting in the loss of 40 personnel.
