Sukma, Sep 5: Five Maoists, including a woman cadre, were arrested during a joint combing operation in the dense forests of Chintalnar, near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border.
Acting on intelligence inputs about Maoist movement in the region, personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a combing operation. During this, the personnel arrested four members while attempting to conceal explosives deep within the forest.
The arrested individuals were reportedly hiding in the forest with explosive materials, allegedly intended to target security personnel.
Following interrogation, the accused were produced in court and remanded to judicial custody, according to Sukma SP Kiran Chauhan.
