New Delhi/Kolkata, May 2: The Election Commission of India on Saturday ordered a complete repoll in the Falta Assembly constituency of West Bengal, citing “severe electoral offences and subversion of the democratic process”.
Repoll Across All Booths
The poll body directed that fresh voting will be conducted in all 285 polling stations, including auxiliary booths, in the 144-Falta Assembly constituency on May 21 from 7 am to 6 pm. Counting of votes for the seat will take place on May 24.
The decision follows reports of irregularities during polling held on April 29.

In its order, the Commission said widespread violations were observed across a large number of booths, warranting a complete repoll to ensure electoral integrity.
