New Delhi, Mar 17: The Election Commission on Sunday changed the date of counting of votes for Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim Assembly polls to June 2 instead of June 4.

Earlier, the Election Commission had announced that the votes polled in the two Assembly elections were to be counted on June 4 along with Lok Sabha poll votes.

The Election Commission had yesterday announced the poll schedule for Assembly polls in Sikkim, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh along with the schedule for General Elections.

The 32-member Sikkim Assembly and 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly will go to polls in a single phase along with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19.

The election for the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly will be conducted in a single phase on May 13 and polling for the 147-member Odisha Assembly will be held in four phases on May 13, 20, 25 and June 1 along with the Lok Sabha polls.
