✨The Commission reviewed progress on mapping current electors with those from the previous SIR and addressed queries raised by the CEOs. Special attention was given to poll-bound States and UTs—Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and West Bengal—through one-on-one interactions with their respective CEOs.
This conference followed an earlier SIR preparedness meeting held on September 10, 2025, where States/UTs presented data on elector counts, qualifying dates, and electoral roll status.
The Commission emphasized timely and accurate execution of SIR to ensure a robust and inclusive electoral process ahead of upcoming elections.
