Argus News - Double Engine Government Will Help Fulfill Aspirations of Bengal’s Youth and Women: Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, Apr 12: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday addressed rallies in Nandigram, West Bengal, asserting that the state is at a decisive juncture where people are determined to reject injustice, lawlessness, and politics of fear.

He said that the youth and women of Bengal are seeking change, and only a Double Engine government led by the BJP can fulfill their aspirations.

Pradhan highlighted that Bengal’s youth are looking for employment, skill development, and opportunities, while BJP’s manifesto promises startup promotion and job creation to meet these demands. He added that women want safety, respect, and economic empowerment, which he claimed has been denied under the TMC regime.

He strongly criticised the alleged disrespect shown towards President Droupadi Murmu, calling it an insult to the Santali community and constitutional values. “The people of Bengal will give a fitting reply to this arrogance,” he said.

Pradhan further emphasised that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP’s Double Engine government is capable of delivering development and good governance at the grassroots level. He declared that Bengal will no longer tolerate violence, corruption, and authoritarianism, and described May 4 not just as an election date but as the beginning of a new journey of development, good governance, and trust.
