Mount Abu, Oct 28: A group of five tourists from Gujarat, including a woman, found themselves in hot water after attempting to flee without paying a hefty restaurant bill of ₹10,900 at the Happy Day Hotel in Siyava, near Mount Abu.
The group had checked into the hotel and ordered a lavish meal. But when it came time to settle the bill, they resorted to an old trick — pretending to go to the restroom. One by one, they exited the restaurant and slipped into their car, attempting to escape without paying.
However, the
hotel staff quickly caught on. The owner and waiter began a chase, aided by
CCTV footage that showed the tourists’ vehicle heading toward Ambaji, the
Gujarat-Rajasthan border. Navigating through traffic, the hotelier pursued the
car and alerted local authorities.
