New Delhi, Oct 7: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched the official logo of the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU), Telangana, at a ceremony here on Tuesday, officials said.

The logo, which blends tribal motifs with Sanskrit elements, symbolizes the university’s mission to preserve tribal heritage while advancing educational excellence, Pradhan said.

A Beacon of Tribal Empowerment and Educational Equity
In a post on X, Minister Pradhan expressed his delight at the launch, stating that SSCTU stands as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to tribal empowerment, educational equity, and the fulfillment of promises made to the people of Telangana. The university is envisioned as a guardian of indigenous knowledge and a hub for civilisational studies.

"Universities are meant to be centres of innovation to meet societal needs. I am confident that SSCTU will usher in a new dawn of Indian civilisational studies including multilingualism," Pradhan said.

Highlighting the university’s motto “ज्ञानं परमं ध्येयम्” (Knowledge is the Supreme Goal), Pradhan emphasized that SSCTU will evolve into a research and innovation-driven institution. He also expressed confidence that the university will foster multilingualism and serve as a center of innovation to meet societal needs.

"SSCTU in Telangana is a testament of PM Narendra Modi's unwavering commitment to educational equity, tribal empowerment and fulfilment of promises made to the people of Telangana," he added.

The Minister shared the vision for SSCTU’s role in integrating traditional wisdom with modern academic frameworks, ensuring that tribal communities are not only represented but actively engaged in shaping India’s educational landscape.
