New Delhi, Jan 9: Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a day-long consultation meeting on Samagra Shiksha 3.0 – Reimagining Samagra Shiksha at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan here on Friday, officials said.
The meeting brought together senior officials, State
representatives, and education experts to deliberate on the roadmap for the
next phase of the flagship school education scheme, they added.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Pradhan underlined Prime
Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, stressing that
universal access to quality education and achieving 100 per cent enrolment up
to Class XII are critical milestones.
The Minister emphasised bridging learning gaps, reducing
dropouts, improving nutrition outcomes, and strengthening teacher capacity as
collective responsibilities for building a robust human capital base.

Highlighting the importance of technology integration and
holistic student development, Pradhan said schools must once again be entrusted
to society to foster critical skills and values rooted in Bharatiyata. He noted
that five years after the launch of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020,
the country is entering a new phase of educational reform aligned with national
development goals.

The Minister urged stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive
annual plan for 2026–27 and take forward Samagra Shiksha 3.0 as a nationwide
movement. He lauded the enthusiastic participation and valuable suggestions of
experts, officials, and representatives from the 11 States and UTs, adding that
the convergence of ideas would strengthen collective capacity.
Samagra Shiksha, launched as an integrated centrally
sponsored scheme, represents a paradigm shift in school education by covering
the entire continuum from pre-primary to senior secondary level without
segmentation.
The meeting was attended by Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of
State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and
Education; Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, School Education and Literacy; Dr. Vineet
Joshi, Secretary, Higher Education; senior officials of the Ministry; and State
Education Secretaries and Project Directors from 11 States and Union
Territories.
