New Delhi, Mar 8: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended the “Bharati-Nari Se Narayani” conference in New Delhi, marking International Women’s Day.
Addressing the gathering during the concluding session — Kruti —, he emphasized that dispelling ideological distortions and empowering women is the foremost call of the times.
The two-day women’s intellectual conference, jointly
organized by the Rashtriya Vidwat Parishad and Rashtra Sevika Samiti,
celebrated the strength and dignity of matrushakti (mother power). The Union
Minister highlighted that the concept of “Nari Tu Narayani” is deeply rooted in
India’s culture and civilization, and the event reflected this sacred philosophy.

He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of freeing India from the colonial mindset by 2035, stressing that such a mindset has caused significant harm to women. According to Union Minister Pradhan, it is time to correct the distortions imposed on India’s traditions and restore the rightful place of women in society.

The Union Education Minister praised the deliberations at the women-led conference, noting that the discussions were commendable and vital for shaping inclusive perspectives. He urged participants to carry forward the “amrit vichar” (immortal thoughts) emerging from the conference to the wider public with clarity and conviction.
Union Minister Pradhan underlined that empowering daughters and mothers requires a holistic and inclusive approach. He called for collective efforts to ensure that women’s leadership and participation become central to India’s social and cultural renaissance.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities, including Pradhan’s wife, Mrs. Mridula T. Pradhan, renowned Hindu ascetic and social worker Padma Bhushan Sadhvi Ritambhara, and many eminent women intellectuals and educationists.
The conference served as a platform to celebrate women’s
contributions while reinforcing the cultural ethos that regards women as
embodiments of divinity and strength.
