Dharmendra Pradhan Accuses Rahul Gandhi of 'Planned Disruptions', Disrespect to Constitution
Dharmendra Pradhan Slams Rahul Gandhi Over 'Anarchy' In Parliament

Key Points

  • Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused Rahul Gandhi of repeatedly disrupting Parliament and following a "path of anarchy rather than responsibility".
  • Pradhan alleged the Congress leader disrespects the Constitution, democracy, and public mandate, calling him a "symbol of unreliability".
  • The minister asserted that Parliament is not a stage for Congress's private interests but a forum for national dialogue.
Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to social media on Friday to fire fresh salvos at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his conduct in Parliament.

According to Pradhan, Rahul Gandhi “repeatedly devises new excuses to disrupt parliamentary proceedings,” a practice the minister described as a hallmark of the Congress party’s approach in recent years. “Every session follows the same script: noise, commotion, and planned violations of democratic norms,” Pradhan wrote.

He added that despite being the leader of the opposition, Rahul Gandhi has chosen what he called a “path of anarchy rather than responsibility.” The minister claimed that spreading falsehoods and repeating them has become Gandhi’s political identity, which, in his view, has made him a symbol of unreliability in Indian politics.

Pradhan further asserted that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party do not respect the Constitution, democracy, the parliamentary system, or the public’s voting rights. “Ideologically hollow, the Congress is systematically targeting constitutional institutions,” he said.
The minister also accused some political figures of harbouring an “emergency-era mentality” and alleged they oppose India’s progress, dismissing the country’s economic performance as a “dead economy.”

Commenting specifically on Rahul Gandhi, Pradhan said he spreads misinformation rooted in feudal thinking and political frustration and is repeatedly exposed for it. “It must be clear that Parliament is not a stage for Congress’s private interests but a forum for dialogue in the national interest,” the minister added.
