New Delhi, Feb 8: While counting of votes began at 8 am amid tight security at all counting centres, the early trend shows that the Bharatiya Janata Party was ahead of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress Party.


By 8.30 am, BJP was leading in 17 seats, followed by AAP in 13 and Congress in one seat.

Notably, the AAP, which is currently in government, won 62 seats in 2020 elections and BJP got eight only.
