Devendra Pradhan Statue Unveiled

A memorial meeting and statue was unveiled of Former Union Minister Late Dr. Debendra Pradhan, the father of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, which was held at Deulabeda Telisahi in Talcher, Angul, on his first death anniversary on March 17.A full-sized statue unveiled, with homa yajna ,drawing a large public turnout. The event, organised by the Devendra Pradhan Memorial Committee, reflects continued public respect for the late leader.

SCB Fire Toll Rises To 11

The death toll in the SCB Medical College fire in Cuttack has risen to 11 as another patient, Pabitra Dosari, died during treatment. The fire broke out in the Trauma ICU early Monday, reportedly due to a short circuit.

NHRC Seeks Report

The National Human Rights Commission has sought a detailed report on the SCB fire incident. It has asked Odisha’s Chief Secretary to ensure a thorough probe and submit findings within 15 days, taking serious note of the tragedy.

400 Killed In Kabul Strike

Around 400 people were killed and 250 injured after a Pakistani airstrike hit a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul. Taliban spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said the strike caused massive damage. Pakistan, however, denied targeting any civilian facility.

Earlier on Tuesday, the LPG tanker ‘Nanda Devi’ arrived at Vadinar Port in Gujarat, becoming the second Indian-flagged LPG carrier to reach the west coast after ‘Shivalik’.
