Bhubaneswar, June 14: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said that the Central government is committed to protect the interests of NEET examinees.

The Minister also assured the students that all their concerns will be addressed with fairness and equity.
“Central government is committed to protect the interests of NEET examinees. I want to assure the students that all their concerns will be addressed with fairness and equity. No student will be at a disadvantage and no child’s career will be at jeopardy,” Pradhan said in a social media post  X, formerly Twitter.

"Counselling process of NEET will be underway soon and it is of utmost importance to move ahead in this direction without any confusion," he added.

The Minister's statement came amid questions raised by students, parents, and the Opposition parties following reports of a possible paper leak and marks disparity.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is today hearing petitions to cancel the NEET UG 2024 exam. These petitions were filed after the declaration of results and challenged the grace marks that were awarded to over 1500 students for loss of exam time.
