Kolkata, April 26: The Centre for Corporate Governance Research and Training (CCGRT) Kolkata, under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, kicked off its prestigious Research Conclave on Corporate Restructuring today.

The event was inaugurated virtually by R K Tiwari, Regional Director (Eastern Region), MCA, Govt. of India, as the Chief Guest. A K Sethi, Registrar of Companies, West Bengal, MCA, addressed the attendees as the Special Guest. CS Sandip Kejriwal, Council Member of ICSI and Convenor of CCGRT Kolkata, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and delegates.

The inaugural session set the stage for insightful technical discussions, including:

Fast Track Merger (Section 233): A practical approach with emphasis on pre- and post-merger provisions.

Sections 230-232: Process, tax implications, and accounting norms, with associated concerns.

Company Conversion to LLP: Addressing the procedural and legal aspects.

The conclave witnessed participation from industry leaders, company secretaries, corporate professionals, and managers, marking it as a vital knowledge-sharing platform for India's corporate sector. Senior officials like Ankur Yadav, Senior Joint Secretary, and Dr S K Jena, Director, ICSI, CCGRT, were also present to enrich the discussions.
