New Delhi, May 13: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 12 Results 2026, bringing an end to weeks of anticipation for lakhs of students across India. The results are now available on official websites including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in, as well as on digital platforms such as DigiLocker and UMANG, ensuring wide accessibility for students.

This year, near about 18Lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations held between February 18 and March 10, 2026. Out of these, 15,07,109 students successfully cleared the exams, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 85.20%. The performance marks a decline of 3.19% compared to last year, sparking discussions among educators and parents about the challenges faced by students in the current academic environment.

A notable highlight of this year’s results is the continued academic dominance of girls over boys. While 82.13% of boys passed the exams, the success rate among girls stood at an impressive 88.86%, reinforcing the trend observed in previous years. The Thiruvananthapuram zone emerged as the top-performing region, recording a pass percentage of 95.62%, setting a benchmark for excellence.

The CBSE has emphasized the importance of digital accessibility, with students able to download their marksheets and certificates directly from DigiLocker and UMANG. This initiative not only reduces dependency on physical documents but also ensures faster and more secure access to academic records.

The exams this year were part of a larger cycle that saw over 45 lakh students across the country appear for both Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. The Class 10 results were declared earlier on April 15, 2026, where girls once again outperformed boys. Odisha’s two bright students, Tina Rath and Alisha Biswal, made headlines by securing a perfect score of 500 out of 500, showcasing exceptional academic brilliance.

With the Class 12 results now declared, students can move forward with college admissions, competitive exams, and career planning. The CBSE has urged students to rely only on official platforms for result verification to avoid misinformation.

The declaration of results marks another milestone in India’s academic calendar, reflecting both achievements and challenges, while highlighting the resilience of students across the nation.
